JUDGING
Thank you for signing up to judge this season! Without your contribution, we couldn't give our students the opportunities we do. Please follow these steps to get ready to go for the next tournament:
Step 1: Create a Tabroom Account
Please click here to watch a short tutorial on how to access and create an account on Tabroom.com, our tournament software site
Step 2: Review the NSDA-sponsored judge training course
Click here to access the training course
At the top of the page, select "North Carolina" and click "Order" (it is a $0 fee, the "order" is for access purposes)
There are 7 sections to the course - please review them at your lesiure prior to judging this season
Step 3: Review event information about speech and/or debate events
Several speech & debate community leaders have compiled this excellent site as a resource for judges to learn the rules and norms of each category offered at speech & debate competitions
When you are registered to judge at a tournament, prior to that weekend, please review the rules and norms for the category you will be judging
**Note - you can ignore the "Tabroom" information on that site, as we have covered this above in step 1
